The Inn is a former Milwaukee Railroad trainman bunkhouse renovated in the mid-1980s into a comfortable B&B with a rich railroad history. Relax in one of nine guest rooms on the second floor or in one of the four Caboose Cars Suites next to the inn. The rooms and hallways are decorated with country comfort style and quilts plus lots of railroad artifacts and photos. Owner/Innkeepers Doug & Mary welcome guests year-round.
The B&B resides in the rural-residential town of South Cle Elum in the heart of the Cascade Mountain foothills ... just 1.5 miles from I-90 (exit 84) and ninety minutes from Seattle and the Puget Sound area. History and recreation opportunities abound! This property is part of the South Cle Elum Rail Yard National Historic District, and is adjacent to Iron Horse State Park / John Wayne Pioneer Trail. Walk, hike, mountain bike, cross-country ski, and snowshoe on the trail or in the mountains. Fly fish or take a fun float trip on the river. Explore local history and antique shops.
