The Veranda Historic Bed and Breakfast Inn was built in 1906 as the Holberg Hotel. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Veranda is located a half block from historic Senoia’s Main Street. With over one hundred and thirteen buildings and homes on the Historic Register, Senoia is currently undergoing some historic period restoration. There are restaurants, pub, a coffee shop, antique shops, boutiques, doctor’s offices, radio station, flower shop, furniture store, library, and more, all in walking distance from the Inn. With a population of less than two thousand, Senoia is located thirty-five miles south Atlanta and the Atlanta International Airport.

The Inn served as the Holberg Hotel until the late 1930’s when it became the residence of the Holberg family. In 1985 the Inn was refurbished with central heating and air, bathrooms in each guest bedroom, a commercial kitchen installed, and opened as a bed and breakfast Inn. There are eighteen rooms plus bathrooms including nine quest bedrooms, innkeepers quarters, office, library, three parlors, one formal dining room, a large dining room, a kitchen, laundry room and a huge wrap around veranda porch. Most of the rooms have their original light fixtures plus an array of lovely antiques. The front public rooms and the large dining room feature ornate tin ceilings. All the floors are original Georgia heart pine. The Veranda is currently set up as an Inn, Restaurant, Special Events location, and has an Art Gallery.

The Inn sits on an acre property full of large oak, pecan, magnolia trees and a fountain and garden area. Adding to the beauty of the property is a seven hundred square foot barn sits in the back of the property and has been used for special events, commercial rental and storage.
