WANT
TO BECOME AN INNKEEPER? HERE IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!
The ONLY ON-LINE COURSE available:
"How
to Own and Operate a Bed & Breakfast" - Internet
Innkeeping Course
Test your skills on a few of the questions you will find
in THE INNKEEPING INTERNET COURSE.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
- Its
7.45am and a guest comes into the kitchen where you
are making breakfast and tells you there is no hot water.
- The
Visitors Center calls at 4.58pm and wants to send a
couple over (5 mins away). At 5.45 pm they have not
shown up.
- A
guest who is staying for a week wants a pot of tea in
bed every morning before breakfast. Do you do it?
- Your
brochure says you don't take pets. A man arrives and
introduces you first to his poodle and then his wife.
Do you take them?
- The
couple who have the room over your head return home
at 12.30am and proceed to chase each other around the
room, run the water and generally make a lot of noise.
Action?
- A
guest who is drunk falls against the window air conditioner
and it falls out of the window and crashes to the ground
outside, breaking. Do you charge him?
- A
guest tells you at 9pm that they do not eat wheat. What
do you serve for breakfast?
- A
couple spend the night and appear at 7.30am to tell
you they are allergic to cats (which you have) and cancel
their check after they leave.

from past 'Students' about INNKEEPING ONLINE
1 What was the best thing about the course?
a. The best part was reading your personal experience, comments and suggestions.
b. Taking the course; I learned a great deal about the business side and operations of
an Inn
c. It was also cool to take an online course, which I've never done before. What a great experience! It was easy to schedule into my lifestyle, to read, study and take
quizzes on my own time, without travel (esp w/LA traffic) cutting into my busy
schedule. Jan Shaw Aug. 2002
Your experience is very evident. We feel like we can ask you anything.
Valerie and Kevin 2001
The best thing about the course is that I could do it in my home and at my convenience. The worst thing was that it made we want to buy one NOW! Paula 2001
I was energized by Juliette's online class. She was very prompt in responding to questions and sending the
next installment of the program. The information was in layman's terms and fundamental to the novice B & B
owner. I appreciate her efforts. Karen Burrell 2000
The B&B course was very informative, and well presented.
We liked the real-life situations which you had us answer; we had a good time figuring out what to do with each of them!
Also, the online sites you recommended are very helpful, and you know those; go to one and you find five more. All in all it was time well spent!
Thanks Alice & Bob 2001
I have found Juliette's information to be invaluable as I am in the midst of purchasing a B&B and have new questions every week. Unlike the typical "seminar" I am getting practical and pragmatic information based on experience and this is exactly what I need.
Dave Andros 2000
Thanks, Juliette. The pricing scenarios are exactly what I was looking for.
Greg 2002
INNSITTING:
I did find your course most helpful in two ways: it confirmed all of my instinctive feelings about doing this job, much of which is common sense and good customer service, and it did give me much additional food for thought about situations that might arise and what preliminary considerations are necessary in setting up an innsitting job. I hope to someday have the opportunity to be a guest at your inn. It would be lovely to meet you. Thanks for helping me on my way, and all the best to you.
