The Inselhaus B&B is an exquisite example of Queen Anne architecture built in 1901 with a square footage of close to 9,000 feet. The B&B opened in May of 2003 after extensive renovation. Sale price includes all furnishings with the exception of a few family heirlooms It offers two dining rooms, two bathrooms, a parlor, office and a commercial kitchen on the first floor. Six bedrooms with private bathrooms, balcony, laundry room, linen closet and broom closet are on the second floor. The innkeepers' quarters are separate from guest rooms on the third floor with two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen and breakfast nook. The vast basement is perfect for clean storage.

A convenient parking lot is located behind the B&B with ample and safe parking with a personal drive and garage for the innkeeper. The Inselhaus is located in the heart of Macomb, IL, just two blocks off the courthouse square. Macomb is also the home of Western Illinois University, a thriving state school with regularly scheduled programming, sporting events and a golf course for the community to enjoy. Guests regularly staying at the B&B include business people, WIU faculty, performers, alumni, parents and vacationers. Yearly events in and around the Macomb area include the Cornerstone Music Festival in nearby Bushnell, the Balloon Rally, Heritage Days and WIU reunion weekend bring guests on a regular basis. Larger cities within a short drive here are Peoria, Quincy and Springfield, not to mention Iowa border cities. Amtrak service runs through the city as well, joining Chicago to several downstate destinations.
